Owner/Director of Nursing
Grace has worked in both the hospital and residential care home settings for 26 years. She believes a residential care home is the best setting for seniors needing memory care. She and her husband started Grace Homes in 2009. Grace enjoys sailing racing at Wayzata Yacht Club and practices yoga regularly. She lives in Saint Louis Park with her husband Chuck and dog Daisy Girl.
- Chuck Scott MA Ed
Chuck is a former special education teacher and currently is in charge of finances and maintenance at Grace Homes. Chuck enjoys sailboat racing at Wayzata Yacht Club, tournament fishing and cooking. He lives in Saint Louis Park with his wife Grace and their dog Daisy Girl.
- Jody Lowder Housing ManagerJody has 35+ years working in human services with various populations of people. Jody has overseen the operations of residential care facilities for both adults and elderly the majority of her career. She also has extensive experience working as a case manager for adults suffering from a wide range of disabilities. Jody volunteers as a Faith Based facilitator and provides peer to peer support for persons experiencing depression. She has also participated in Art Therapy training and enjoys doing various art projects with Grace Homes residents. Jody also enjoys travel, fashion, and spending time with family. She is the mother of 4 children.
- Grace Ezekwere CNA Staffing CoordinatorGrace schedules the staff who work at Grace Homes. She also assists Jody in running day to day operations at the homes in addition to providing direct care for our residents. Grace has one daughter and is from Liberia, Africa. Grace enjoys singing, attending church, fashion and hosting parties.
- Sherry Carpenter Activities Director
Sherry coordinates the Activity Program at Grace Homes. She also sings and dances with residents, and plays accordion. Sherry is one of the founders of Music Memories, an organization that provides interactive music sessions for elderly persons in long term care facilities. She also was Assistant House Manager for 5+ years for a Hammer Residence with provides long term care for persons with disabilities.
- Margaret “Maggie” Grein Registered Nurse
Maggie is the full-time RN at Grace Homes. She oversees the nursing care, medications and treatments of all residents. She works closely with the providers at Bluestone Physician Services to provide excellent primary care to our residents. Maggie was one of the founders of hospice care as it is known today in the United States. She has also been Director of Nursing at various long term residential facilities in the Twin Cities area. Maggie is married, has two grown children and 2 grandchildren.
- Martha Ogunti CNA
Martha is from Liberia West Africa. She lives in Brooklyn Center and has four children and one grandchild. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Martha enjoys singing and dancing at her church, and spending time with her family.
Our Caregivers Are Specially Trained in Memory Care
All of our caregivers at Grace Homes are Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and are specially trained in memory care. Newly hired staff complete 8 training sessions on dementia prior to caring for our residents. Our staff receive training on a regular basis on the most up-to-date information on how to best work with seniors with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
